Southern Tuscany

Podere Giardino

The farmhouse Podere Giardino is located on the southern side of Montalcino's municipality, less than 1 km far from the road going from Sant'Angelo to the city of Brunello. It is surrounded by the typical Tuscan landscape, among olive groves and vineyards.

Towering over the valleys of the rivers Orcia and Ombrone, from Podere Giardino you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding hills and vineyards, as well as breathtaking sunsets.
The fields of the farmhouse are located at about 350 m above sea level, facing south-west, and are highly suited for viticulture and olive growing. In 2003,

Podere Giardino planted a small vineyard (5.000 square meters) that is grown organically since 2010, from which are produced each year about 2500-3000 bottles of Rosso di Montalcino DOC and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.

Apartment Glicine

The most beautiful Tuscan landscape, man-made in centuries of work in harmony and balance with nature, will seduce you. You can endlessly wander in the Crete Senesi, or in the nearby Maremma, being always pleased by the charming views, until you come back to the farm for your well-deserved rest.

Of course, you have not to forget Siena, the city of Palio, the beautiful capital of the province, rich in history and art. It is impossible to describe in a few lines...

At about the same distance is the seaside, offering the most attractive beaches of Tuscany, that do not have much to envy to Southern Italy.

The Val d'Orcia and its villages are made to enchant. You can't miss San Quirico d'Orcia, with the beautiful Collegiata, the Church of San Francesco, the Horti Leonini, as well as Pienza, a Renaissance city with the magnificent Cathedral and its historical buildings, including the majestic Palazzo Piccolomini.

In Montalcino, the Fortezza is worth visit, as well as the Abbey of St. Antimo, the Civic and Diocesan Museum, and the castles and churches in the surroundings.
Due to its altitude and its different landscape, Montalcino stands out compared to the neighboring areas.

The surrounding valleys emphasize the "silhouette" of the Montalcino hill and put it in an absolutely dominant position, with a view that extends from the Apennines in the north to the sea and the island of Giglio in the south-west.
